The manufacturer of Actos (pioglitazone), Takeda, may be facing over 10,000 actos lawsuit cases. This comes after many users of the drug were diagnosed and treated for bladder cancers. Currently, Actos is considered to be one of the most prescribed diabetes drugs as well the supposedly causing side effects for many people in the world. Most doctors fail to inform their patients of the drug’s side effects, which has resulted to many unsatisfied patients. Their reason for the lawsuits is still to be proved but it will be just a matter of time before we know what the courts decide. But as far as treating diabetes, the best solution would be to maintain a healthy lifestyle, by dieting and exercising on a regular basis. The risks of taking a drug for diabetes are just too high. Many of the diabetic drugs have proven to be too unsafe for consumers health. Another drug used is Avandia, which has said to have similar side effects. The reality is that there are no safe diabetes drug out on the market yet.
